5 Winter-to-Spring Fashion Trends to Try Now

5 Winter-to-Spring Fashion Trends to Try Now

1. The Puffer Coat

The most dreaded and once unsightly part of winterwear – the puffer coat – has now surprisingly become a strong statement piece. Thanks to those high-end designers that recently paraded these reworked, padded shells down the runways, this oversized – yet efficient – offering in outerwear has reemerged onto the winter scene in a big way (pun intended). To view some of my top picks of bright colored puffers that are sure to melt away your winter blues, see below.

2 & 3 Cropped Denim + White Boots

While you shouldn’t completely shift away from wearing skinny jeans, you may want to consider adding into the rotation a pair of flared denim with cropped, raw hemlines for the spring transition. This shorter length gives you an opportunity to show off a pair of popular white boots. Plus, you can use a pair of springtime painted socks as a way to mix in more patterns and personality into your outfits since they’ll also be on display.

4. Polka Dots & Lavender

Speaking of seasonal colors and prints, it’s pretty safe for me to say that you’ll be seeing a lot of polka dots and lavender springing up in your Instagram feeds and in department stores soon. Personally, I’ve never been much of a purple person but this felt beret is very skin tone flattering and is also an affordable way to work in 2018’s Pantone of the year.

5. Kanye-Approved Sunglasses

Lastly, in case you haven’t noticed, the 90s have made a comeback. This year, it’s the thin eyewear that everyone is nostalgic for. I tried to fight sporting a pair of these cult, cat-eye glasses but, in spite of my best intentions, I too become fanatical. These shades have been selling out quick (I found this style in white). So, if you can get your hands on a pair of them, don’t be afraid to make Kim and Kayne proud.

Below, you can see more of this look, along with my top picks for incorporating these winter-to-spring trends into your wardrobe now. Also, as an added bonus, nameplate necklaces are back! The one that I am wearing is my actual signature that I was able to create from Capsul jewelry.

That sweetheart neckline on the black and white top is just so cute! I wish I could pull of those sunnies, I’ve tried but they just do not suit my face at all. So I’ll be living vicariously 😉 You look amazing! xox Lauren Will from LaurensLipGlossary.com
