French Girl Style for Fall

French Girl Style for Fall

French girl style has been highly coveted for a long as I can remember (see my previous post on a Parisian style muse). There’s just something so ‘je ne sais quoi’ about their style that’s intriguing. Channeling the casually, chic way of French girl dressing isn’t as hard as it may seem and it doesn’t always require a striped tee. The key is to be relaxed yet sophisticated, which can easily be accomplished in a monochromatic look and the correct accessories.

For example, take an all-black outfit like these cropped trousers and this ribbed knit by And Other Stories. The simple yet relaxed fit of the culottes look so chic when paired with the fitted mock neck top. To put a current spin on this style, try adding a pair of ‘it’ boots of the season like a white or metallic bootie or a red over-the-knee boot. However, if you want to stick with the not trying so hard feel, try a combat boot. This outfit can easily go day to night with one quick change of footwear. To complete your French girl styling, don’t forget to pop on one of the ever so popular berets.

Below you can see more of this look, as well as additional styling options at the very bottom of the page. Au revoir!
