This outfit could easily sum up my true style. Although I like to dabble in trendy prints and patterns every now and then, I naturally gravitate towards solids, especially black and this olive or military green. That said, when I found this tie-waist Tibi skirt (here), I knew it would be the basis of an outfit during New York Fashion Week. Since the weather called for warmer than average temperatures during this intense week, I originally thought I would pair the midi skirt with a white silk cami (like this one) and a lace choker. But, then I found this Bailey44 ribbed turtleneck with flattering shoulder cut-outs (here) and I had to just suck-up the fact that I might get hot. Luckily, the temperature dropped during the start of the week and it was not as much of a scorcher as the weekend.
Last Monday, I got a super late start to my day but still managed to quickly stop by the Spring Studios to see what my friends at Tresemme’ were up to this year (I had my hair styled last year, but this time I already had a blowout). Then it was over to the LiketoKnow.it x Milk Makeup party that was held on the rooftop of the Milk Studios. It was another great chance to chat with fellow bloggers and totally style stalk. For this event, I opted for the &OtherStories clutch below and got a lot of compliments on how freaking fun it is. Due to an early morning the next day, I didn’t get to stay very long (or even have one of their tasty tequila cocktails). However, the view of the stunning sunset, along with making new blogger friends, made for an exciting Monday evening. Below, you can see more of the outfit I wore.
