As one of the most elegant swimwear presentations during SWIMMIAMI, it was no surprise that every inch of the Wet Deck at the W South Beach Hotel filled up for the premier Gottex runway show that featured their Cruise 2018 Collection on Saturday, July 22, 2017. The sensational display showcased vivacious-colored floral prints, detailed embroidery, and rich multi-color geometric prints. But what really took my breath away were the earthy tones that ranged from cool aquas to deep lapis and amethysts.
The classic color palette was updated to include deep wines and forest greens, as well as beautiful blues, pinks, reds and corals on new off-the-shoulder ruffle designs, strappy deep-V’s and braided cutouts. Also in the mix were black and silver, which shined on dramatic one-shoulder and high necklines.
The collection is a contemporary take on femininity with styles range from sporty to couture. The sporty, yet still elegant pieces featured multi-colored bindings on black cage-like cutouts, creating a bold statement while still maintaining a feminine edge. The Couture subcategory, which was the continuation of the Jewel Box 60th Anniversary Collection, uses the most unique and luxurious Italian fabrics that are intended to make the chic modern women feel exceptionally glamorous. Each Couture Collection style is sold in an exclusive box and comes with a unique golden hangtag describing the limited-edition product.
